School Leadership Team

The School Leadership Team plays a significant role in creating a structure for school-based decision making and shaping the path to a collaborative school culture. The School Leadership Team functions as the management team of the school, representing the educational community. It oversees the planning and restructuring process to ensure our children are provided with quality education through increased teacher and parent participation.

The School Leadership Team is composed of an 18 member core team which is made up of the Principal, UFT Chapter Leader and the PTA President. The remaining members consist of equal numbers of parents and staff. Their responsibilities are to develop and review the school’s Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP), including annual goals and objectives, and to consult with the principal in developing a school-based budget.

Our School Leadership Team meets monthly during the school day to discuss issues which are important to the school. Our meetings are always interesting and productive.

I also consistently promote providing parents with access to free NYC museum, aquarium, and zoo access.
