ACADEMICS & PROGRAMS
Our instruction follows an academic sequence based on the New York State Common Core Learning Standards. Instructional strategies are individualized to build on students' strengths and meet their developmental needs. This strengths-based approach supports strategies that foster independent learning skills.
Parents are our most important partners. They are integral members of the child's instructional team, participating in educational planning, goal setting, and reviews of their child’s progress.
There are many exciting activities taking place at our school including a partnership with the Disney organization, father's club, Mutt-I-Grees curriculum and more!
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
A variety of after school programs are offered to our students. Multiple activities are available at different age levels.
The IEP is a snapshot of what a student has achieved academically and socially. This plan also has goals (developed from various assessments) for the individual student.
Our related services help or students benefit from their special education program by providing extra help and support in needed areas, such as speaking or moving.
INTERVENTION SUPPORT (PBIS)
School-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support is a proactive, team-based framework for creating and sustaining safe and effective schools.
