We are partnering with Maquis studios on a combination of visual arts, dance and music. Drop off at 9:30 am. Parents are invited back at 11:30 am for lunch following the workshop with the students. We are asking parents to commit to ALL Saturday's. Dates are as follows: 12-13-25, 1-10-26, 2-7-26, 3-14-26, 4-18-26, 5-9-26.

This week's photos feature our November parent engagement activity at our 178, 153 and 498 sites.
For this month's parent engagement activity, parents were invited to come and engage with their child's class as they read the book of the month: The Kindness Book by Todd Parr. Students and parents then completed a kindness activity with the classroom staff. The students, staff and parents enjoyed taking part in this fun activity.

Welcome to P.S. 596X! We are a district 75 New York City Public School serving students on the autism spectrum and other special needs from Pre-K through age 11 in three co-located sites: 11X178, 11X153 and 11X498.
Through this website, you will be able to step into our classrooms and hallways to get an idea of the wide variety of creative programs and practices in which students participate on a daily basis.
Our commitment is to provide the highest quality, state of the art instructional programs to our students, and to offer parents workshops and activities to equip themselves with the skills to best help their child. Through hands-on learning and fun-filled opportunities, our students make tremendous gains in social skills, language, and academics.
