Week of June 13, 2022
This week's photos feature our 2022 Spring Fling for our 2022 Graduates! On Saturday, June 11th, the staff, parents and P596X graduates gathered for music, dancing, karaoke, pin the tassel on the cap, arts and crafts, limbo, sensory activities, cotton candy machine, games and more! The afternoon also included snacks and refreshments as well as the opportunity to take graduate photos. The students parents and staff enjoyed taking part in this fun and engaging activity!
Welcome to P.S. 596X! We are a district 75 New York City Public School serving students on the autism spectrum and other special needs from Pre-K through age 11 in three co-located sites: 11X178, 11X153 and 11X498.
Through this website, you will be able to step into our classrooms and hallways to get an idea of the wide variety of creative programs and practices in which students participate on a daily basis.
Our commitment is to provide the highest quality, state of the art instructional programs to our students, and to offer parents workshops and activities to equip themselves with the skills to best help their child. Through hands-on learning and fun-filled opportunities, our students make tremendous gains in social skills, language, and academics.
