THE WEEK

Week of March 13, 2023

This week's photos feature our March Saturday Academy at our 178 site. Our March Saturday Academy took place on Saturday, March 11th, 2023, from 10am to 12pm.

Parents celebrated spring by mingling with other parents, sharing concerns and relaxing while participating in interactive fun group activities. The staff supervised the students as they completed arts and crafts projects and musical activities. The parents and students enjoyed taking part in this event!

WELCOME

Welcome to P.S. 596X! We are a district 75 New York City Public School serving students on the autism spectrum and other special needs from Pre-K through age 11 in three co-located sites: 11X178, 11X153 and 11X498.

Through this website, you will be able to step into our classrooms and hallways to get an idea of the wide variety of creative programs and practices in which students participate on a daily basis.

Our commitment is to provide the highest quality, state of the art instructional programs to our students, and to offer parents workshops and activities to equip themselves with the skills to best help their child. Through hands-on learning and fun-filled opportunities, our students make tremendous gains in social skills, language, and academics.
